あらすじ

ギレルモ・デル・トロが満を持して世に送り出した話題のTVシリーズ! ドイツ・ベルリンから出発し、アメリカのジョン・F・ケネディ空港に着陸しようとしていた旅客機のリージス航空753便の機内で、貨物室に異変が起こる。その後、機体は無事着陸するが、全てのシステムはシャットダウンし、機内からは何の応答もなく753便は完全に沈黙する。調査に入ったCDC (疾病対策センター) のチームは、乗員乗客206名の死亡を確認し、4名の生存者を発見する。未知のウィルスによる感染なのか、バイオテロなのか? 現場に残るわずかな物証と生存者を手掛かりに、CDCの精鋭チームが未曾有の脅威から人類を守るため、謎の解明に挑む!

ナイト・ゼロ

9月28日、ベルリン発ニューヨーク行きボーイング767、リージス航空753便がJFK国際空港に着陸し、誘導路に進入した直後に停止する。管制官の呼びかけにも応答なく、システムは全てシャットダウンし、完全に沈黙した機体に現場は騒然となる中、突如翼の上の扉が開く。バイオテロやアウトブレイクの疑いが濃いため、CDC（疾病対策センター）のエフとノーラが防護スーツを着て機内へ。最初は乗客乗員210名が死んでいると思われたが、死者は206名で4名が息を吹き返す。

消えた積み荷

謎のドイツ人アイヒホルストに金で雇われたガスは目的地へ大きな棺を運ぶが、中から不気味な音がし恐怖を覚える。生存者4名は体調不良が続いていたが、CDCは彼らに帰宅許可を与える。バーンズ局長はエフをこの事案から外すが、エフは空港で捕獲した不気味な線虫を媒介とするウィルスの可能性を探りながら、感染源と思われる大きな棺の行方の独自調査を開始。一方、異常事態の真相を知るらしい骨とう質店店主セトラキアンの前に、宿敵アイヒホルストが姿を現す。

不吉な予兆

アイヒホルストの真の姿は、恐るべき異形の者だった。検視局からは死体が消え、帰宅した3名の生存者たちの体調は悪化する。一方、エフに協力するレッドファーン機長の容態も急変する。エフの部下ジムはアイヒホルストに会い手を引くと告げるが、病気の妻のためにある密約を交わす。空港でエフに警告しにやってきた老人セトラキアンに情報を求めるノーラに、彼は「753便の乗員乗客に接触した者は全員破壊しろ」と言う。その頃、離婚調停中のエフは家庭裁判所で息子ザックの親権を争っていた。

試される覚悟

正当防衛で殺したレッドファーン機長の解剖を行うエフらは、長いトゲ状の新たな器官を目の当たりにし衝撃を受ける。ジムは、重病の妻の治療のために空港から大きな棺を運び出すことに加担したことを告白し、エフの怒りを買う。大富豪パーマーはハッカーのダッチを雇い、ある目的のために街の全通信システムを無効にするよう依頼する。一方、生存者のアンセルは血液への渇望が始まり、エフとノーラは死亡したはずの娘が戻ってきたと主張するアルノーの家を訪れる。

ストリゴイ

生存者のボリバルは、診察にやってきた泌尿器科医に襲いかかる。他の生存者で弁護士ジョーンも変成が進んでいた。害虫駆除のエキスパート、フェットはネズミの奇妙な行動から捕食者の存在に気付き調べ始める。一方、セトラキアンは忌まわしい強制収容所時代を回想し、彼がストリゴイと呼ぶヴァンパイアの歴史や、銀が有効であるといった殺害方法をエフに教える。エフとセトラキアンはアンセルの家を訪れ、CDCのバーンズ局長に変成を遂げたヴァンパイアの存在を証明するべく撮影を試みる。

皆既日食

ネットや携帯に通信障害が出る中、皆既日食のときが近づく。レッドファーン機長殺害容疑でFBIに追われるエフは、別居中の妻ケリーの家に身を寄せ、ケリーにザックを連れて街を出るよう強く促す。感染しヴァンパイアとしてよみがえった者たちは愛する家族のもとへ戻る習性があるため、セトラキアンは753便の犠牲者の家を訪ねて歩き次々と処刑していく。一方、危険を感じたノーラは母親を連れてセトラキアンの質店へ。やがて陽光がなくなった街のあちこちで人々がヴァンパイアに襲われていく。

才能への褒美

生存者ジョーンの夫は通りでヴァンパイアから逃れるも、自宅に入った途端、ヴァンパイアと化した妻の餌食となる。セトラキアンの質店に身を寄せる指名手配犯として逃亡中のエフとノーラは、感染者のゼロ号であるマスターを殺す計画に協力することに。セトラキアンが宿敵アイヒホルストと、その黒幕マスターとの戦いのために準備してきた武器や物資を整備する。エフとセトラキアンはジムを使ってアイヒホルストをおびき出し、昼間は暗闇に身を潜めているマスターの居場所を突き止めようとする。

夜の攻防戦

エフ、ノーラ、ジム、セトラキアンは、怪我を負ったアイヒホルストがマスターと接触することを待ちつつブルックリンへ向かう。UVCライトがヴァンパイアの撃退に有効だと気付いた彼らは、途中で寄った店でフェットと遭遇。彼もまたUVCライトを調達しようとしていたのだ。その後、ヴァンパイアの集団に襲われた彼らは、近くのコンビニエンスストアにバリケードを築く。店にはハッカーのダッチもいた。セトラキアンはマスターがヴァンパイアを操り、自分たちを狙い撃ちにしていると説明する。

消えゆく者たち

セトラキアンら一行はエフの家に寄り、感染したケリーの恋人マットからザックを救い出す。エフとノーラはマットの死体を焼き、連絡が途絶えたケリーの帰りを待つ一方、セトラキアン、ダッチ、フェットとザックは質店へ。フェットはセトラキアンの“大いなる脅威”を滅ぼす戦いに参加することに同意し、ダッチはパーマーから大金を積まれて通信システムを破壊したことを認める。セトラキアンの第二次世界大戦時の回想から、人間だった頃のアイヒホルストやマスターとの因縁も明らかになっていく。

愛しき者

ザックがパソコンでケリーの携帯を追跡し、その情報をたどったエフはケリーの乗り捨てられた車を発見する。車内に落ちていた血にまみれたティッシュを見て、嫌な予感が的中したことを悟る。32時間前、職場で感染したマットはケリーの家に戻ってきており、変成が始まっていたのだった…。 ダッチは通信システムは復旧できるが、パーマーの会社ストーンハート・グループの本部に入る必要があるといい、フェットと共にビルへと向かう。ダッチはパーマーの部屋に通されるが…。

闇からの声

フェットらは地理的な条件から考えて、9.11同時多発テロの現場近くにマスターのねぐらがあると考える。武器を用意し、綿密な作戦を練ったエフたちは、地下鉄のトンネルから目的地を目指す。一方、警察に逮捕されたが、騒乱の中自由の身となったガスは自宅に戻り、ヴァンパイアとなった兄を殺し母親を探す。留守番をしていたザックは、ノーラの認知症の母親がタバコが欲しいと強く訴えたため、危険を承知で近所の店へ。その頃、いよいよセトラキアンたちとマスターの対決のときは近づいていた…。

警告

質店に戻ってきたセトラキアンは体調が芳しくなく、愛する妻に関わる過去のつらい体験を回想する。エフとフェット、ノーラは計画を見直すことに。そこへコンピュータの設備を持って戻ってきたダッチは、緊急警報システムを使い、情報が意図的に操作され市民が知り得ることができないヴァンパイアの侵略を明らかにするべく、エフの警告を電波に乗せようとする。スピーチを準備するエフ。一方、ヴァンパイアに囲まれ窮地に陥ったガスの前に、突如フードをかぶった一団が現れる。

マスター

質店から間一髪のところで散り散りに逃げたエフ、セトラキアン、フェットらは再び集まる。ダメージを受けたマスターは近い場所に一時避難していると考え、フェットの害虫駆除のノウハウとマンハッタンの地理に対する歴史的な知識を駆使し、ボリバルのねぐらであるシアターへ侵入。そこで棺を発見する。パーマーとアイヒホルストはマスターの目的を果たすため、政府やCDCに圧力をかける。セトラキアンは因縁の戦いに終止符を打てるのか？ そして誘拐されたガスの前に姿を現したのは…。

第1話

Eph and Nora work on a biological weapon to kill the strigoi, and Setrakian risks the lives of the entire group to find information about a closely guarded secret text. The Master begins the next phase of his own plan, by creating a terrifying new breed of creature and placing them under the control of Kelly.

第2話

Eph and Nora experiment on their newfound patients. Fet and Dutch grow closer as they clear out the neighborhood buildings, and Kelly begins her hunt for Zack.

第3話

Gus and Vaun wage an attack on Palmer as Eph struggles to connect with Zack. Councilwoman Justine Faraldo vows to bring her extermination policies to the other boroughs.

第4話

Eph and Nora finally see their lethal virus in action. Fet takes the security of Red Hook into his own hands while Dutch and Setrakian set off for Staten Island to question Fitzwilliam, Palmer’s former body guard.

第5話

Eph changes his appearance to leave the city while Nora is left as the reluctant parent for Zack. Dutch and Nora make a deal with Justine to secure Fet’s release from jail.

第6話

Eph concocts a plan to make and distribute a bioweapon. Gus realizes Angel can be an unlikely ally, and Kelly comes after Nora and Zack.

第7話

Setrakian and Fet use Fitzwilliam’s info to attack the Master. Eph returns to NYC frustrated but energized to go after the one person responsible for killing his friends.

Eph must protect Zack against a surprise intruder into Red Hook. Gus convinces the Guptas to make a difficult choice. Fet and Setrakian set out to acquire the Lumen.

Justine takes drastic measures to counter a surprise invasion. Nora and Fet perform a useful mission while Eph and Setrakian face off against an old foe.

Eph and Dutch work together to thwart the Master’s greatest ally. Justine runs into trouble with the Mayor while Setrakian tracks down the real owner of the Lumen.

Dutch fights for her life against Eichhorst as Fet, Nora, and Eph frantically search the city for her. Setrakian confronts an old acquaintance on his search for the Occido Lumen, while Gus helps the Guptas escape across the border to safety.

Eph must choose between Zack’s safety and the safety of the citizens of NYC. Meanwhile, his relationship with Nora reaches a critical impasse, and Gus and Angel assemble an unlikely gang of Sun-hunters.

Setrakian and Fet battle for possession of the Occido Lumen, and gain a surprising new ally. A massive attack imperils Eph, Nora, and Zack’s escape from New York.

第1話

The strigoi are evolving, becoming faster. Smarter. Eph struggles to improve his failing bioweapon while trying to work through the emotional fallout of the abduction of his son, Zack. As Setrakian and Quinlan attempt to crack the Lumen’s deepest-held secrets, Fet helps a Navy SEAL team in a deadly mission: search for the Master through the underground tunnels of New York.

第2話

The Master’s offer to return Zack plagues Eph as he considers taking the deal. Dutch reunites with an old group of friends but begins to question if her safety is better with them or with Fet, Eph and Setrakian. Palmer strives for answers to Setrakian’s secret strigoi blood treatments and discovers he may have a way to acquire it.

第3話

The Occido Lumen is gone. Stolen. Setrakian and Fet race to recover it. Gus and Angel try to hide a secret houseguest while avoiding a police sweep, and Quinlan’s thirst for vengeance is revealed.

第4話

Things have changed. The infection enters a new phase. Fet wants to celebrate, but Setrakian and Eph are worried there’s more work to be done. Justine conscripts a new, unwilling army in the fight while Eichhorst angrily lashes out with a plan to strike back.

第5話

New information from the Lumen forces Setrakian to seek help from his lifelong nemesis, Eldritch Palmer. Eph’s new experiments to understand strigoi communication seemingly take him to the brink of madness while Fet is on a mission to discover strigoi movements across New York City.

第6話

Fet strikes hard at the heart of the strigoi army while Justine embarks upon a risky mission to drive the strigoi out of Manhattan once and for all. Gus and Angel fight for their lives and their freedom but are faced with a moral dilemma.

第7話

Setrakian offers hope in a new plan to trap the Master while Eph and Dutch seek out the Master’s “voice.” Palmer needs Setrakian’s access to the white to hold up his end of their bargain.

第8話

The Master’s voice proves to be more powerful and potentially fatal than Eph or Dutch anticipated. Fet and Setrakian track down the cargo from the Egyptian vessel and realize they may be in over their heads. Quinlan strikes a deal with the Ancients, but a last minute betrayal proves deadly.

第9話

NYC is falling. Eph and Dutch frantically race to finish their new device to stop the Master before the city is overrun. Justine, Gus, and Angel fight in one last stand to stop the spreading virus. Palmer extracts vengeance for past wrongs but may have crossed the line.

第10話

Humanity teeters on the edge of destruction. The Master finally reveals himself, initiating the end game of a battle in which there can be only one winner. Eph, Fet, Setrakian, and Dutch must overcome their personal differences in a last-ditch effort to vanquish the strain.

第1話

Out of the ashes of humanity’s nuclear war, Night Eternal has begun. Haunted by the atrocities committed by his son, Eph abandons NYC for Philadelphia. His solitude is cut short when he encounters new fighters who rekindle his drive to fight back. Tasked by Setrakian, Fet and Quinlan search for a new means of stopping the Master.

第2話

Imprisoned as a subject in a strigoi breeding program, Dutch is desperate to escape and find Setrakian. Gus recruits his cousin for the inside job that will put his gang at the top of the new world’s underground economy, but Creem is suspicious of his business partner’s ambitions.

第3話

Quinlan and Fet discover that stealing a nuclear warhead isn’t easy when they encounter an unexpected enemy. Eph and Alex concoct a new weapon to use against the strigoi. Frustrated with his seclusion, Zack discovers a love interest.

第4話

Dutch is forced to make a deal with Desai, while she plots to escape a strigoi breeding facility; Eph and Alex seek to uncover the dark secrets behind the Partnership’s new plan; Gus and Creem face off against a gang encroaching on their turf.

第5話

Fet and Quinlan track a convoy carrying their prized nuclear weapon; Eph and Alex search for clues to uncover the Master’s plan for the fate of the human race; a familiar enemy traps Dutch, who encounters an old friend as well.

第6話

Fet and Quinlan must figure out how to get the nuclear bomb back to New York, while a desperate Eichhorst draws near; love-struck Zack tries to learn more about his new crush, but makes a devastating discovery.

With his health failing, Setrakian ignores Eph’s warnings and pushes himself to the limit in his quest for victory and revenge; Fet and Quinlan race back to Manhattan, while the Master seals off the city and prepares to eliminate them all.

第8話

Reeling from loss, the heroes regroup; the heroes devise a new plan to track the Master through human collaborators, beginning at the blood farm with someone Dutch knows all too well.

第9話

An unexpected guest brings old conflicts to the surface, dividing the heroes and threatening the group’s trust; with questionable new intelligence in hand, the group launches a make-or-break final assault on the Master.

第10話

In the series finale, Quinlan devises a desperate plan, but the costs are enormous. Eph wrestles with his conscience, Fet undertakes a suicide mission, and Dutch and Gus dig in for battle as humankind makes its final stand against the Master and his Strain.
